hypergammaglobulinemia

(1) Abnormally high levels of antibodies in the blood. Common in persons with HIV.

(2) An excess of GAMMA-GLOBULINS in the blood. It is seen frequently in chronic infectious diseases. (Dorland, 27th ed)

(3) An excess of gammaglobulin in the blood. It occurs in chronic granulomatous inflammations, chronic bacterial infections, liver disease, multiple myeloma, [lymphoma]]s, and dysproteinemias.

monoclonal hypergammaglobulinemia

An increased level of homogeneous immunoglobulin molecules of a single specificity in the blood following proliferation of a clone of immunoglobulin-producing B lymphocytes.
