Lymphedema and Autoimmune Diseases

A super good question was raised by two members regarding lymphedema and autoimmune diseases. It appears that secondary lymphedema can be a complication of these conditions.

Again, though, I am not a doctor, just a LE lifer attempting to provide information that I wish the medical world would have done.

Addenum: Because listing each autoimmune condition that may cause
lymphedema or edema is so massive, it may well be beyond the scope of
this website. If you go into any of the sites linked below you will
find extensive lists of autoimmune conditions. Click on the one you
are interested in and it will take you further for comprehensive information.
