Shingles are no fun

Postby blubrdfrend » Tue Mar 05, 2013 11:54 pm

I have shingles. Three days ago a large place broke out on my back. I thought that is was a spider bite. I have been searching the net for a photo that resembled the bite. Well the spot is moving around to my chest. If I had gotten to the dr. sooner, I understand that it would have been a milder case. A nurse told me that I will need to be free of the shingles for a year before the vaccination will be any effect. I will definitely get the vaccination as soon as possible. Meanwhile I read that people with lymph problems tend to have shingles. Is anyone familiar with this theory?

Oh I sure am.....had a terrible case over twenty years now.

Same thing with me, thought it was just a mosquito bite....boom....that stuff went all over my right side and chest.

Miserable miserable stuff. Use the ointment and don't scratch!

My best to you
