Itching Itching Itching

Postby Cindy » Sun Jun 15, 2008 4:56 pm

 I am going crazy. My right leg is itching so bad. I try just rubbing it very soft. But I still do some damage to it. I wake up at night and it is itching  It only itches on the out side of my leg' and the top of my foot and angkel. The frount and back don't bother me. The skin on those places is normal. Does anybody know why this is happening? Does anyone know what to do to stop this? Please Help!

Hey Cindy :)

Not sure why it would be itching like that. I do know that if my skin gets to dry, it will start itching like mad.

Be sure to use lotion on it every day. Eucerin works great for me.

Dr. Stewart, a doc in Alabama that see many any LE patients swears by oilive oil. It has a slight odor to it, so you probably would only want to use it at home.

Hi Cindy,

I find that Neutrogena body oil is the best for me. I used to use Eucerin by the ton, and it just wasn't doing the trick. At the recommendation of my therapist, I tried the Neutrogena and haven't used anything else since. When I get out of the shower, I apply the oil right away before my skin dries. It works beautifully for me. :)

Thank you both. I will try both and see if one or the other works for me. :)
