Here we go! I was diagnosed w/ LE 18 years after the symptoms first appeared. Thanks to this website, I think that I can identify my version as LE diachiasis (sp?).

My diagnosis came 4 years ago after my long standing doctor finally believed that my legs are ALWAYS that swollen. I went to MLD (in July that year) which helped immensely. It gave me my life back - instead of being exhausted at noon, I could go until 7:00 p.m. - And chasing two preschoolers back then was a full time job. I lost 20 pounds of weight in my ankles - no wonder I was tired, wearing 10 pound leg weights on each ankle!

I have an odd mix now - my legs have gone down - I can actually wear fashion boots, but one toe is fibrotic. I'm hoping for a script to go back to MLD. My life is better because I have more energy but I want to take care of some new symptoms before they turn into something more. I'm trying to take off the last of the baby weight (is it still baby weight when the baby is in school? ) because I want to give my lymph system every fighting chance.

So... I'll see the LE specialist at 10. I'm prepping for the lecture! I'll post back tonight if anyone's interested.

It went a little different than I expected. The usual review (I haven't been there in 3 years), I've gained 10 pounds and since my legs have gone DOWN it must be fat. Grrrrr. I'm officially 11.8 pounds overweight. LOL He had to add the .8

I don't need to do the short stretch wraps for 6 weeks like I did last time. Just continue to take care of my legs, better skin care and see him in the fall.

All in all, not bad. The .8 is still making me laugh though.
