LOL....hot weather...whoa.....what a summer :(

I'm even stunned when Silkie tells me how hot it is in northern England where she lives. Even in Portland, Oregon which is also a mild climate, they have been literally cooking.

Sure am glad there is no such thing as global warming, right :?: :?:

Here's a page for some Summer Tips for Lymphedema

http://www.lymphedemapeople.com/thesite ... hedema.htm

Really goods ideas on it.

Here are a few of the tips:

Stay Cool

When indoors, stay in well air-conditioned places

Limit time spent outside between 11 am and 3 pm

Take cool or lukewarm showers vs. very cold water

Drink lots of water

Avoid salty foods

Wear light, loose, non-constricting clothing to allow for the free flow of the lymphatic system.

Do not wear items that leave indentations

......

The hot weather really effects my lymphedema...worse swelling...seems like more infections...blah....my air conditioner is going all the time.

Hi , If you live in a state that receives a decent amount of snow just remember how much you hate to shovel your driveway all winter long and how you curse the weatherman everytime he mentions the word snow! :(
