STEM CELL RESEARCH

Postby john » Fri Apr 25, 2008 8:18 am

I'M CURIOUS TO KNOW IF AND HOW MUCH STEM CELL RESEARCH IS PRESENTLY GOING ON WITH NODE TISSUE / REPRODUCTION........

IS THERE HOPE DOWN THE ROAD WITH STEM CELL RESEARCH AND LE VICTIMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ALSO WITH OUR GREAT AMERICAN INGENUITY I WOULD THINK OUR GREAT MEDICAL SCIENTISTS COULD DEVLOPE AN ARTIFICAL LYMP NODE SYSTEM OR REPAIR PARTS..........
WE HAVE TRANSPLANTS....WE HAVE PACEMAKERS..ETC.. ETC.

JUST SHARING MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY....REPLIES ARE WELCOME.
ENJOY THE WEEKEND...............

Hi again John :!:

There is no researchin stem cell research, but there is extensive research going on in the genetics field. There is a real possibility that within a few years, we will have a drug that will be able to eventually provide a cure.

The treatment would be an injection of the protein VEGFC that is heavily involved in lymphatic formation. They were able to stimulate lymphatic growth in mice with this, but a side complication was that there was massive tumor growth as well.

That problem has to be solved and work is being done on it.

BTW...we already have experimental articficial lymph nodes...check it out:
