Hi....I am new to this site. My son who is five months old now was diagnosed with Primary Lymphedema a few months after he was born. A lot of the specialists that we have seen cannot tell us a lot about the condition. I was looking for someone who has also had a child diagnosed for more information. He is getting surgery this month to stop his ingrown toenails on his two big toes. Has anyone had this surgery? The surgeon said this is not really preformed on infants which makes me nervous. Any information or thoughts would be so helpful.
Thanks...CTT

Ctt, I hope that your baby is healing and well. I am so very sorry to hear of such a small child with Lymphedema. I hope and pray that your physician was able to help him. Although lymphedema is a childhood disease, I was not diagnosed until I was in my late 20's so I know very little about infant problems. Let us hear from you again. We care.

I could really kick myself that I didn't see this until now.
